In addition to that, it has had several functions throughout its more than 500 years of existence. First, it was used as a grain store, then it was a fortress, a prison, and a presidential residence. It's a place full of history that takes us back to the past.

THE AQUARIUM. The eighth most visited aquarium in the world. It opened its doors in 1992 to quickly become an emblem of the modern Port of Veracruz. It has also the largest ocean fish tank in Latin America, where you will meet tropical fish from the Gulf of Mexico, penguins and manatees.
